Gone are the days of big bulky heavy outer wear for snow sports.
When you visit your local snow shop you might notice that a lot of the equipment is actually quite light weight or even shells?
The most comfortable way to ride the mountain is with multiply Layers
Ie - base layer, mid layers and out wear
One reason is that (especially in Australia) the temperature can change rapidly in a day. Removing or adding a layer is a lot more easier than relying on one single jacket.
Merino is the top pick and go to for warmth, durability and the ability to 'wick' away moisture from the body.
Quality merino or merino blends should not be 'itchy' as a better diameter wool should be used rather than cheaper short style
Adding two layers of merino can be optimal as the heat gets trapped in between the layers. One layer of course suffices and the heat also traps against the skin.
We have a great range of merio and merino blend products in stall including Le Bent leggings, socks, face covering, balaclavas and crew necks
